Chair Yoga is designed with postures and breathing exercises with the aid of a chair. This way participants can experience the many benefits of yoga without having to get up or down from the floor. Benefits include increased balance, strength, flexibility, range of motion, and stress reduction.
Functional Flow this class will move by combining functional movement with a gentle yoga flow. This is an adaptive yoga class focused on building mobility and stability.
Gentle Yoga will include a combination of accessible poses, fluid movement, and breath. The poses sequences will gently engage and open the major muscle groups.
Hot Yoga This series of postures follows the template and healing elements of the original 26 hot yoga poses but also includes Vinyasa-style sequences and variations to promote additional upper-body strength. This classes room temperature is from 93-105 degrees.
PILATES (FLOOR) is a form of low-impact exercise to target the core, although the exercises work other areas of your body as well. Pilates involves slow, precise movements and breath control. A typical Pilates workout is 45 minutes to an hour long.
PILATES POWER ZONE is a form of low-impact exercise which targets the core, and works other areas of your body as well using slow, precise movements, and breath control while using light hand weights.
PLYOGA® is a 30 minutes fitness system that utilizes the centered and balanced principles of Yoga as an active recovery for a segmented class in Plyometric interval movements designed to increase your heart rate. Please wear sneakers for this class. A yoga mat is recommended but not required. All levels of fitness welcome.
Restorative/Yin Yoga involves variations of seated and supine poses typically held for 3 to 5 minutes. This class will incorporate functional movement and yoga postures. This practice focuses on stretching connective tissue around the joints, twists, and seated forward folds supported by the use of props.
Slow Flow this practice moves slowly through sun salutations and postures designed to build internal heat slowly and gently. Meditation and Pranayama (breath work) techniques are taught to promote relaxation.
Vinyasa Flow embraces a fitness approach to yoga postures. No two classes are alike. Vinyasa flow connects physical postures, or asanas, with inhales and exhales. All yoga levels are welcome. This is a warm yoga class that elevates the heart rate.
Wake Up Yoga Flow is a moderate to vigorous vinyasa yoga practice. This class will be full of poses and transitions that will help build strength in your legs, arms, and core, as well as improve flexibility and range of motion. Prior yoga experience is recommended. This is a warm yoga class.
Yoga Basics is designed for those who are just starting their yoga journey or just want to give yoga a try. This class will explore poses through proper alignment and modifications. Sun Salutation A and B will be introduced and reviewed in each class. Poses will move through seated, standing, kneeling, and reclined positions.
Yoga Level 1 & 2 is designed for those who are wanted to explore their yoga practice. This practice will move from to basic yoga poses with options for advanced movements that focus on connecting the use of breath with poses and the use of props. This class is rooted in Ashtanga style yoga postures and series, and is great for those new to yoga.
Yoga Fusion Express- 30 minute class. This class integrates strength and stability work through the use of resistance bands and weights into your yoga classes. This practice is designed for the yoga participant who wants to begin their journey of connecting yoga movements with other types of fitness.
Workshops & Events
Introduction to Yoga is a 5-week series of classes designed to take away the worries about your first yoga class and make your introduction to yoga an enjoyable experience. You'll learn what yoga is, where it came from, how to start your practice and how it can impact your life. We will practice key poses and Sun Salutations and modification to fit your body and individual practice during these sessions.
Karma Classes are studio's choice of a class. When a class is offered as a Karma Class, it is donation based or free...you choose! We ask that participants still pre-register for Karma Classes, but not to worry, you will not be charged a fee for the class.
Puppy Yoga is gentle yoga with a variety of yoga poses introduced. Puppies will be present and roaming during class. Interaction with the puppies is encouraged throughout the class. Photography is welcome. All yogi levels welcome. Please note this is a special event: If you cannot attend you must cancel your session 24 hours in advance for a refund. No shows will be charged the full class fee.
wineDown Wednesday's is offered every third Wednesday of the month, unless otherwise noted on the schedule. It will include a 30 to 40-minutes of a beginning level gentle and restorative yoga practice. We will then gather as a community, where all participants are invited to join us at It's All About Wine where we will have at least two choices of wine to sample or your choice of non-alcoholic beverage. This is intended to be a fun event where we can get to know one another off the mat.
