Class Levels Defined
How far are you on your yoga journey? Use this guide to see which class level is right for you. As always, safety first: be sure to consult your doctor before beginning this or any other exercise program.
Level 1 the Beginner classes are designed for those who have had no to limited previous exposure to yoga. The pace is slow and detailed. Students will be shown and encouraged the use of props as needed to ensure a strong foundation and proper alignment. Other Key Words: Gentle, New
Level 2 the Experienced Beginner classes are designed for those who have had some exposure to yoga. Level 2 class participants will still be provided an introduction to basic yoga poses, review proper alignment, and options of props to support their practice. These classes will emphasize poses and use of the breath. Other Key Words: Gentle, Flow
Level 3 the Intermediate classes are designed for those who have a foundational understanding of the basic yoga postures. In these classes, we will begin to explore basic arm balances and a wider variety of poses. The intermediate student understands the relationship between breath and movement.
Level 4 - the Advanced-Intermediate classes are designed for more experienced yogis with a very solid understanding of basic yoga postures who are comfortable performing more advanced poses. The advanced-intermediate student practices yoga regularly and has begun to master the connection of breath with movement.
All Levels Come ready as you are! All Levels classes are suitable for beginners, masters, and everyone in between. These classes offer modifications so that you can customize your class to fit your specific needs and level of expertise.
