I discovered my love of yoga while living in the northern suburbs of Chicago. I was only a high schooler when I was diagnosed with neurological and gastric disorders— I was burnt out, discouraged by the world, and looking for something more meaningful. First, I just started stretching on my bedroom floor, seeking pain relief. It started with two days a week, but within six months, I was a daily student. Stretching, which I was calling it evolved into me seeking out yoga. Slowly became more about the mental aspect of yoga, being mindful. Learning to use yoga as a coping method for my health issues (physically + mentally) is what has brought here.
I am passionate about being a yoga teacher and my yoga learnings. Aiding others manage their own health has become such a huge focus of mine, it’s incredible that I have been so blessed to make yoga more than a hobby, but also a career! Taking care of my body IS my career.
For me, yoga is about the balance between relaxation, stability, and flexibility. In my classes, we will combine meditation of both the body and the mind to achieve physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. I enjoy a slow flow, yin, and restorative yoga while emphasizing mindfulness and compassion.
