I became interested in yoga 15 years ago, and since then I have fallen in love with my practice. I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training with Olivia Rousseau, and I will always be grateful for every moment spent in the training. I think of yoga as the ultimate connection between your mind and your body. I love breath work and try to bring that into my classes in different ways.
My professional background is in nursing. I have worked in healthcare for the past 15 years and the majority of the past 10 years have been focused on cardiovascular nursing. I am board certified in cardiovascular nursing. My background in nursing makes my practice a lot more anatomy-focused and also means I love to talk about heart health, nutrition, and stress management.
When I am not on my mat, I am reading, volunteering, or hiking. I have 4 unique rescue dogs who are absolutely spoiled. I love humor and having fun, and that shines through in my teaching style. I like to bring energy to the mat but finding that calm at the end of a practice for me is so beautiful.
I am so excited to see you on the mat!
